Drew Blythe Barrymore (born February 22, 1975)[1] is an American actor and director. She is also a talk show host and author. She belongs to the Barrymore acting family. She has won numerous awards and nominations, including a Golden Globe Award as well as an Screen Actors Guild Award. There are also nominations for seven Emmy Awards, and a British Academy Film Award. In 2004, she was awarded a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Her name was well-known as a child actor thanks to her role in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. After a turbulent early life that included alcohol and drugs addiction, she wrote Little Girl Lost, an autobiography. She was a major character in numerous successful films of the 1990s as well as the 2000s such as Charlie's Angels. Barrymore was the co-star alongside Adam Sandler on three films, The Wedding Singer and 50 First Dates. Other films she has starred in include Firestarter and Donnie Darko. Her debut as a director, Whip It, also included her. Grey Gardens was her first film. She received a Screen Actors Guild Award, as well as she was awarded a Golden Globe Award. She is the present host of The Drew Barrymore Show, her talk show syndicated by a network.
