Catherine Ford is a British actress born in Bloomsbury. When her father's divorce from the family members, she was grew up by her mother, grandparents, and godparents. Ford suffered from anxiety disorder based on the word association when she was a toddler. Ford's love for acting grew when she was young. She was a part of in the National Youth Theatre. Ford was accepted into the Sylvia Young Theatre School. After just a month, she decided that it wasn't the right fit for her. Ford, instead of applying to Central School of Speech and Drama and securing a place after her third try she applied for and was awarded an admission to the Central School of Speech and Drama. Shaun Dingwall - who later played Pete Tyler in Doctor Who was also one of her classmates. Ford graduated in 1993. However, prior to that, Ford made a television debut in Surgical Spirit in an episode that aired in the year 1991. Ford took the professional name Catherine Tate. Tate made her television debut in 1991, appearing in shows such as The Bill. Men Behaving Badly. and London's Burning. In addition to her regular performances in the theatre, Tate also joined with the Royal Shakespeare Company in 2000-2001. But Tate was soon gaining recognition for her stand-up comedic performances, which she added to her repertoire in 1996.
